Compete for the Crown: Miss Connecticut USA 2025

Are you ready to take the stage and show the world what you’ve got? The Miss Connecticut USA and Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2025 competitions are just around the corner, offering an incredible opportunity for ambitious young women to showcase their poise, talent, and confidence. The pageant will take place from January 24–26, 2025, in Windsor, Connecticut—and there’s still time to apply!

What’s at Stake?

Winners will take home more than just their crown. They’ll advance to compete on the national stage at the Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA® competitions, with the potential to represent the USA at the Miss Universe® competition. Additionally, the Miss Teen USA® winner will receive a $25,000 cash scholarship, which can be used toward tuition or other education expenses.

How It Works

The scoring breakdown ensures a well-rounded evaluation of every contestant:

• 50% Interview

• 25% Fitness (swimsuit for Miss; athleisure for Teen)

• 25% Evening Gown

After preliminary competitions, the highest-scoring contestants move to the semi-finals, where they’ll compete in athletic wear/swimsuit and evening gown. From there, a Top 5 is selected. During the final round, each finalist answers an on-stage question posed by the host, and the judges select the winner and runners-up.

• Casual clothes for rehearsals

Meet the Reigning Queens

Miss Connecticut USA 2024: Shavana Clarke

Shavana is a trailblazer as the first openly lesbian Miss USA state titleholder. A first-generation Jamaican-American, she holds a BFA in acting from the University of Connecticut and has performed in regional and off-Broadway productions. Shavana is also a sales coordinator, model, and entrepreneur who proudly represents the LGBTQ+ community.

Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2024: Ava Celentano

Ava is a 14-year-old animal advocate, humanitarian, and author. This homeschooled freshman from North Haven has a 4.0 GPA and is the founder of Action for Animals, a platform supporting animal shelters through recycling initiatives. Ava’s children’s book uses animals to teach kindness, inclusivity, and acceptance, reflecting her passion for making a positive impact on the world.
