Crowning Excellence: Meet Miss Fall River and Miss Fall River’s Teen 2025
The stage was set at Kuss Middle School on Saturday, December 7, as the Miss Fall River competition crowned its newest titleholders. This year, the honors went to Deolinda “Dolly” Mendes as Miss Fall River 2025 and Sydney St. Onge as Miss Fall River’s Teen 2025. Both young women are already making strides to inspire and uplift their community through their platforms and talents.
The Queens and Their Community Service Initiatives
Deolinda “Dolly” Mendes, a 21-year-old nursing student at Rhode Island College, captured the title of Miss Fall River with her impressive advocacy for mentorship. Her Community Service Initiative, “Next Gen Navigators,” promotes the values of guidance and support for the next generation. Dolly was awarded a $350 scholarship to support her academic and personal goals.
Sydney St. Onge, a 14-year-old freshman, took the crown as Miss Fall River’s Teen. Sydney’s platform, “Stop the Stigma, Start the Conversation,” focuses on helping teens recognize the warning signs of mental health disorders and fostering open dialogue about mental health. Sydney received a $300 scholarship, further encouraging her to pursue her advocacy efforts.
Celebrating Talent and Accomplishments
The competition also recognized several outstanding contestants with scholarships for their achievements:
Miss Fall River 1st Runner Up: Shanyah Cunha – $200 scholarship
Miss Fall River 2nd Runner Up: Summer Ramos – $150 scholarship
Miss Fall River’s Teen 1st Runner Up: Addison Kohler – $200 scholarship
Miss Fall River’s Teen 2nd Runner Up: Olivia Charest – $150 scholarship
Miss Fall River’s Teen 3rd Runner Up: Serena DaRosa – $100 scholarship
A Community Celebration
