Meet Teen Petite USA Hannah Karki: Inspiring Others to Shine
The Petite USA pageant system celebrates women and empowers them to embrace their unique journeys. One shining example of this is Hannah Karki, the current Teen Petite USA titleholder, who first held the title of Teen New England Petite before earning her national crown.
Hannah’s remarkable story and passion for her platform demonstrate how pageantry can serve as a springboard for personal growth and meaningful community impact. As the New England Petite Pageant approaches on January 19, 2025, in Concord, New Hampshire, Hannah’s journey is sure to inspire anyone considering competing.
A Journey Through Pageantry
Hannah began her pageant journey at just 14 years old, competing in the USA system before finding her home in the Petite USA organization. She has since won two titles: Teen New England Petite and Teen Petite USA.
For Hannah, the Petite USA organization stood out because of its genuine sisterhood and focus on individuality. "In Petite USA, I have found women who are so passionate about what they stand for, and the sisterhood is very real,” she says. The organization also allows contestants to represent causes close to their hearts, which Hannah found invaluable as she shared her platform, SafeSpaceSuicidePrevention.
Empowering Through Her Platform
Hannah’s nonprofit, SafeSpaceSuicidePrevention, has been a cornerstone of her pageant career. Founded when she was 14, the organization works with schools to create mental health resources and give students a voice in the classroom. Through her title, she’s expanded her reach, participating in community events, judging pageants, and even working on her upcoming children’s book, The Fire Within You, set to release in 2025.
Hannah explains that having a title amplifies her ability to make an impact: “A title works as a megaphone to spread your cause...but crown or not, doing work in your community will never go unnoticed.”
Advice for Aspiring Contestants
For those considering the New England Petite Pageant, Hannah offers heartfelt advice:
“Keep an open mind and remember how strong you are. Competing in pageants has challenged me to think in different ways. Winning doesn’t solve insecurities—working in your community and making a positive change is what truly matters. A crown is cool, but it’s your journey and authenticity that make the biggest impact.”
She emphasizes the importance of self-discovery and persistence, sharing how her own journey to victory spanned four years of hard work and personal growth. “Your confidence will come from knowing who you truly are and how inspiring you are!”
