New Talents for Miss America

The Miss America Opportunity has updated their list of approved talents! As a Miss America contestant you now have the opportunity to have a person as your prop. This allows talents like ballroom dancing and cheerleading to have the potential to make it to the Miss America stage.

As a former cheerleader myself, I am quite excited to see how it will be scored, and take place during Miss America state and local pageants. Talent has always been my favorite area of competition to watch, and adding these new talents to the line up will add more variety to the show.

This year's Miss America competition already has quite a lineup of talents, including a skating routine by Miss Nebraska, Raechel Warren, and harp performance by Miss South Dakota, Joelle Simpson, and so many other amazing talents.

Previously, Miss America talents have been quite unique, like Miss America 2020, Camille Schrier's science experiment. Schrier performed an entertaining experiment known as "Elephant's Toothpaste."

I am curious to see if these new talents bring new candidates to state and local Miss America programs that did not feel that they had a "stage talent" to perform.
