About Erica Parks
Erica’s journey with the Miss America Organization began in 2020 when a high school teacher introduced her to the opportunity. Since then, Erica has blossomed into a leader and role model, blending her passions for performing arts and advocacy.
Her Community Service Initiative (CSI), Paws for a Cause: Fighting for Animal Justice, stems from a personal connection with her rescue dog, Pippa. Erica’s advocacy has already led to significant achievements, including passing legislation in her hometown that prohibits pet stores from selling certain animals for profit. She is also a member of the ASPCA’s Regional Advocacy Field Team, collaborating to advance animal welfare nationwide.
As a performer, Erica has an impressive résumé. A professional tap dancer, she won a gold medal at the World Tap Dance Championships in Germany and has performed in major motion pictures like Little Women (2019) and Godmothered. Erica even designed her own talent costume for Miss New York’s Teen, showcasing her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit as the founder of “Dancers Designs Costumes.”
When she’s not performing or advocating, Erica is pursuing her education at the Institute for American Musical Theatre in New York City, where she moved on her own at just 17 years old. Her career aspirations include combining her love for fashion and marketing to build a successful brand.

The Miss America’s Teen competition is underway at The Walt Disney Theater in the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Erica has already completed her interview, and here’s what’s coming up next:
Preliminary Competition: December 31, 2024, at 7:00 PM
Teen Talent Competition: January 2, 2025, at 4:30 PM
Both the preliminary competition and the finals will be streamed live on Pageant Vision.
