About Miss Rhode Island, Ali Hornung
Ali is a 23-year-old graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she earned a triple major in Global Business, German, and Human Development and Family Sciences. She’s the founder and executive director of the Glimmer of Hope Foundation, which supports families battling childhood cancer. Her talent for Miss America is vocals, a reflection of her dynamic and heartfelt connection to performance.

Bald Dolls: Representing and empowering children through customized dolls that help build confidence during treatment.
“Best Day Ever” Photo Shoots: Transforming a day into a magical experience complete with princess dresses, photoshoots, and personalized touches for young girls battling cancer.
Bereavement Boxes: Offering comfort to families grieving the loss of a child, including hand-painted watercolor portraits to cherish their memories.
Through her foundation, Ali has touched countless lives, proving that small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of hope and joy.

Ali’s journey began at the age of 12 when she was inspired by her honorary “little sis,” Ella, who bravely fought leukemia. Since then, Ali has raised over $350,000 for various pediatric cancer organizations, advocated for funding on Capitol Hill, and started initiatives like Miracle Masks, donating proceeds to cancer foundations. Her dedication to making a difference for childhood cancer families is unwavering, and her efforts are a testament to her compassionate spirit.
